Develops and implements an Audit and Review program based on a comprehensive risk analysis using Enterprise Risk Management methodologies and compliance requirements.
Conducts internal audits, prepares reports, and maintains contact with senior management in discussing findings and recommendations for process improvements or corrective action.
Influences the design and management of all internal controls throughout the association, including those over financial reporting, operations, and governance.
Completes the following, timely and accurately, in accordance with the Audit & Review plan and considering additional identified risk areas: Credit Reviews, Collateral Reviews, Entity Level Controls Testing, and audits of Financial Related Services.
Oversight of third-party auditors/reviewers and coordination with regulators and external auditors.
Provides leadership in all Standards of Conduct matters.
Maintains knowledge of industry trends and all current and developing internal policies, procedures, systems, and methods to evaluate their effectiveness and efficiency.
Provides Human Resources supervision/support to the 3 person audit team.
Delivers timely and accurate reporting to the Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and Senior Leadership Team/Management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance, with a Master’s Degree, preferred.
Certified Internal Auditor, CPA, or similar designations.
Eight to ten years of internal auditing experience, with increasing management roles and responsibilities.
Strong analysis, judgment, and communication (oral and written) skills.
